In this lecture, Rumman Ahmed talks about three political episodes in Pakistan from 1947-1971. These are:
1. Adoption of the First Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in 1956.
2. Military Coup d’état and imposition of Martial Law in 1958.
3. The Pakistan-India War in 1965, eventually led to the outbreak
of political movement against President Ayub Khan in 1968-1969.
Rumman Ahmed
Rumman Ahmed is a geostrategic and geo-economics analyst. He served as an adviser to three former Home Secretaries and to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM). He was a Board Member of the London Development Agency (LDA). He was on the first cohort of Certificated Members of the Institute of Fundraising and was a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management, Junior London Chamber of Commerce, and the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He was the founder and Chair of nine faiths Faith Based Regeneration Network (FBRN) and was active in many national charities and voluntary organizations in the UK.
